What's Going on in the Startup Community?

Velocity is an animation library for programmers. It's going to be used by other programmers. You would not have been able to do any of this unless you understood developers in the open source developing community. And I think people drastically underestimate how important it is to actually understand who your target customer is. If you're building something that could benefit from being promoted online in some way, look at what's going on in the startup community and follow that.
