The Importance of Listening to Your Body

I've learned that there is no such thing as a perfect build up. You can try and have as good a build up as possible, but something is going to go wrong. The idea of a recovery run is to get back genuinely feeling better than you did before you left. Most people are always so tired? It's a recovery run! I'm just starting out running 5K or 10K once a week. Your easy runs should be quicker than your hard runs. Don't listen to your body more. Having a smart watch is really helpful. There're no clever way of weighing it out because the time that's going to make the difference in Western States will be different for everyone.
