Twin Studies

Most of my scientific career has been looking at twins and generally we find these big similarities between identical twins that are more than looking at fraternal twins. In twin studies you can see about early environment which is the time that twins spend together in that family environment. genetics formed a very small part of our gut health and our gut microbiome really tiny it was something around less than 10%. There was some effect of family environment what you shared in the family but most of it was what we call specific environment which are things that all of us can change.
