The Importance of Meditation

As you start spending more and more time with radiating loving kindness, you will go deeper. Then the feeling of compassion changes to a feeling of joy. This kind of joy is a happy feeling, very deep happy. And as you're doing that, your meditation changes and you start seeing infinite consciousness arise. That sound was actually about a hundred thousand arising and passing away of sound consciousness. So you're teaching yourself the direct experience of what is called a nicha dukkha anata,. impermanence, suffering and the impersonal nature of everything.
