Fat Adaptation in Ultra Running
In ultra running, fat adaptation is a big part of the sport. Some runners are more efficient by using carbohydrates than others. If you can't shift into using a high percentage of fat, you know, you're probably kind of hosed then and that's not so hard too. You have to be able to transition fast to being able to use carbohydrates in short races.
