How to Achieve a Successful Franchise Business
We were inspired by two classmates who bought a group of Burger King restaurants and grew that business from 20 something units in 2014 to I think close to 250 by 2019. They now run a full fledged private equity firm. We called them and said, hey, you know, we'd like to do what they did. What advice do you have for us? You got to start with the brand. It's not worth your time to go find a franchise deal from a willing seller. Do all of your homework, spend all of your money and then show up on the franchise or his doorstep with them not having any idea who you are.
