The Dangers of Influencer Apology
The form of what we're receiving all looks the same. I have a theory as to why the notes app has become the preferred medium through which you apologize. The function of a apology today as it works in the press is to convey sincerity and genuineness. But when the performance is commodified and made uniform, then it's really hard to believe if three people come up to you and apologize to you for something they did in the exact same way.
