The Problem With Active Control in Mindfulness

When active control has been used to study current forms of westernized mindfulness, the data doesn't look the same. MBSR subjects did no better than the control in terms of attention measures. You need to use a measure that involves at least 20 minutes of sustained attention. And recent research has shown that teaching people to be non judgmental via mindfulness resulted in them feeling less guilty.
