If you want to maximize adaptations in terms of carryover, you should still be specific in terms of range of motion. A four-anger motion may actually not be the best in that case. The second thing brought up was performance tracking or essentially assessing performance week to week. It's more so an aspect of training hygiene and directly imposing a better stimulus and progress.
