What Is Psychodynamic Therapy?

Psychodynamic therapy is what I just described. Sometimes we help people with distorted thinking. And then we kind of go into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where you look at how thoughts and feelings and behaviors are all related. Some people do EMDR for trauma, which is a specific modality that people use to help people who are really stuck in a trauma. But I think it varies from person to person. For example, the gold standard for something like OCD would be you might want to have some talk therapy, but you also might need CBT and then medication.
