Tony Shay's Life and Death
Tony Shay died at Park City of smoke inhalation after a fire started when he was in a shed. By 2020, his drug use was spiraling and none of the yes men surrounding him were prepared to warn him. In healthy hierarchies, people lower down the chain of command are encouraged to speak up when the leader is doing something wrong or dangerous. But Tony Shea wanted to eliminate hierarchy altogether, creating the most treacherous hierarchy of all. He could no longer be challenged and he didn't realize the danger.
