The Evolution of the Human Body

We evolved to walk on two legs, probably starting around 6 million years ago when we diverged from chimpanzees. And we started to run, grading the best evidence, paleontological evidence, about 2 million years ago. Our ancestors were selected for the ability to run long distances in order to run prey into heat stroke. If you can do that, humans can run at speeds that animals require animals to gallop by chasing animals.
