The Editor Says No to Everything That Gets Reviewed
This is the most significant change to a major journal publication function and structure since registered reports got started. In general, I'm in favor of things where you just stick the blanket of the paint pot and mix it up and see what color you get. The power of the editor to make editorial decisions is still largely in place but they've handed the powers back to the author. So this is more collaborative. It's saying, when do we agree that we've reached our papers worth of shit?
