The Futuramas are about selling a vision of the future and bringing along with it a specific set of policy packages or policy proposals. What this reminds me most of is political speech that this is persuasion this is about coalition building. Do you think that that's good framework for thinking about the motivations of the people who are involved in selling these visions of the future? Yeah, the political speech analogy is a good one.
