Think about how you would want your partner to treat your feelings. Don't tell yourself, like, don't feel that. It doesn't make any sense for you to be feeling that. The most basic way that you can actually feel your feelings and give yourself that acknowledgement and validation is to say, I am feeling sad right now and that's okay. You can even acknowledge to yourself, I feel disappointed right now. And it's really hard for me to feel disappointed. And I really do not want to feel disappointment right now, but I feel disappointed and that'sOkay.
