The Fasting Mimicking Diet

The fasting mimicking diet is five days of less calorie specific foods. The idea is to measure IGF-1, IGF-BP-1, glucose and ketone bodies. It's essentially a high plant-based fats, low protein, very low sugar, low calorie diet. For cancer patients, it's about 600 calories a day. But the water-only fast can be extremely difficult or dangerous.
