David Perry: I don't think he actually gave him any money. It's definitely very, a very interesting development early in the history of Conlane. Of course, of course, part of it's going to be civilizing barbarous nations. He does express his favor and basically encourages people to buy Del Garneau's book,. But there's no funding with it and probably didn'tDidn't do very well at the time anyway.
