She was very inspired by the natural world and by the cycles of life. And in terms of the sort of forms that she related her sculptures to, it's a range of natural forms,. It's the body and nature together. She would blow air into balloons and then, as you say, pour the plaster over the side, sometimes imbedding gauze into the structure. This allowed her to create theseer shell like or cavity like forms.
