Cross Fit Is Not a Cult
The word colt has not always carried such sinister undertones. Our modern understanding of a cult as something inherently negative was really shaped by media coverage of colt tragedies like jonestown and the manson family murders. Not every group that has been called a cult, orcould be called acult, is inherently bad. And often the word cult is not enough to describe what particular dangers or risks are on the table. So while we may not all agree, because, again, this word is so subjectiveThat heavens gate and cross fit are full blown cults. We can at the very least dagree that they are cultish.
