How to Collaborate Effectively

We all start as auto regulators when we're born. We don't really have the capacity to recognize that there's a world outside of us. If somebody doesn't come good enough and they don't collaborate with you, you don't learn to do that. Preoccupied people don't collaborate. They've never really been instructed in how to do it. That comes later. So one of the things that we can do later in life is figure out what skills we have and what skills we're missing so that we can begin to develop the deficits. It takes some discipline and also some willingness to do this.
