Teachers shouldn't be judging their own pupils work in isolation, she says. They need to get children's work compared to each other and have a group of people together comparing them. She would find the internal one a lot better because it was just 'here's your level for the term' And i think that this is where the current moderation process is useful,. Because it's a body of work ive a period of time, yes, not for aperiod of time - but you can see how that body of work has developed.
