The great thing about being a journalist is you have to be entrepreneurial. My bosses have always encouraged me to come up with ideas and that's why I love being a journalist. There's opportunity to be entrepreneurial in lots of different ways. If I have an opportunity, I want to tell a positive story. After the Me Too Times Up movement, there have been so many CEOs who've been fired or laughed. That's something I like in general. When it comes to the enterprising stuff, let's dig into the positive stuff.

Julia Boorstin is CNBC’s Senior Media & Tech Correspondent. She covers media with a special focus on the intersection of media and technology.
