I always mention at least one number in the course of the conversation because with my soloist clients, I have no idea what their budget is. It's hard for people to pull an abstract number out of thin air. Or they'll just tell me if they don't react, if there's a gas, that's usually a sign that maybe it won't work. Another thing that happens in a proposal when the price is too high is they'll disappear because they're shopping around. If you have a good Y conversation, you'll have ruled out that as an option. Yes.
