The more systems oriented you get, the smaller your target audience potentially becomes. So I feel like from an audience standpoint, a marketing standpoint, a business standpoint, it's also something to think about. But don't go so far out that you lose the actual system that you're wanting to model where the game becomes just an abstract representation of something.
