I remember thinking it was my first year in China. So it was very new to everything. I think there was almost no English. The design was pretty tasteful. It didn't seem to scream anything particularly political. But then again, I couldn't read what was on the walls. That might have been someone else's former residence. Most of those kind of blur together in my mind. I haven't been back to that region since 2010. And so I always tell myself next time I'm down there in that area, I'm going to go. One of these years.
