Net neutrophil extracellular traps were originally discovered as being in a bacterial, they can wrap around bacteria and destroy them. And so the question is what about viruses and there's some evidence. For some viruses that you can that nets will actually control infection. There's also evidence that they make disease worse for some viruses.
