How to Do a Bone Marrow Biopsy in Patients With Obesity

If the patient has stage one or two disease and you know for sure that it's super unlikely that the bone marrow will be involved, I don't bother. The last situation where I would think of doing a bone marrow is if there is a monoclonal protein. And we've seen all sorts of weird cases where you could have concomitant myeloma or MGAS in older adults. So it's important to do a bone marrow biopsy in those cases.
