How to Value a Job Based on Other Opportunities

He says it can be as simple as saying that you're looking at other opportunities and asking if there's any flexibility on those terms. The idea is to change the pace of the negotiation by painting your opponent into a corner with these two sentences. And once they say yes or no, "you" are now inviting me for my counter," he says.
