The Benefits of Naps for Cognitive Impairment
For every hour of sleep I miss past that eight hour kind of minimum threshold of sleep for myself, I consider myself to be losing two hours of productivity the next day. How much it brings you actually back up to your baseline, it does seem to depend a little bit on age. The impact is more pronounced for people who tend to take naps in that time period. There's a kind of an impact as a nap gets longer. This thing called sleep inertia kicks in where this ability or it's sleep inertia basically refers to this difficulty of kind of thinking.
