The Mythology of Conquest

The elite who seek to dominate a people must also ensure that they have conquered them. Central to this process is the act of mythologizing. The myths constructed in the process of conquest serve to subjugate the people further. These myths are somewhat akin to ideological trips which reinforce domination if we want to think of them in kind of more classical Marxist terminology.
