The Social Meaning of the Party Sponsored Literacy Programs
The party proposed, spoke to this acute emergency that sensed by many Chinese at the time. It can reflect the state's determination and rapid response in coping with the national crisis. And it therefore offered a hope that China would quickly come together as strong nation. So I want to argue that we shouldn't consider, okay, this is a realistic or irrational kind of goal.
