In sport, let' say you're a power lifter or something like that. Outside of maybe chess and professional classical music, i don't see anybody else that commits themselves in that way to their craft. You go and do a podcast, and maybe you went out for a few beers the night before, andmaybe you didn't get to sleep cause you were on your phone. Who can tell? Right? That does no objective metric of success. You just did a bit better or a bit worse on the podcast.
