Does the Public Understanding of Masculinity Change?
In the 1960s, fathers did very little care for their children. Now we think of fathering as just parenting and parenting doesn't have a gender. We've gotten away from this idea called the essential father hypothesis that dads don't engage in care. In households where both parents worked, women did 62% of the family work; men did 38%.
