Before money was invented, you had to find common ground. With the introduction of money, I think what we see actually is a facilitated way for exchange to occur. The spectacle really builds off of this because it facilitates relations between people who have been reduced to the status of objects. And in creating these pseudo needs, everything appears to be accessible to us when in fact if there's very narrow options afforded to us and allowed that we can actually have.
