Why Jesus Brings This to the Pharisees in the Gospel

In his conversations with the Pharisees, Jesus points out to them that there is this, he calls it a hidden collusion between murder and religious culture. He says from the blood of Abel to the blood of a bimilec, you always do the same thing. You murder the prophets. And since there is no more, there's no other victim to blame in the moment.
