Are We Going to Overcome the Laws of Nature?

We have a psychological tendency to predict the ideal scenario for the future. In reality, that ideal scenario never really materializes exactly like that. Even though people knew that, they were more likely to commit more time or more resources to something in the future because they still believe it at a psychological level that they would be able to better handle their time in the future.
