i wonder how you see this notion of justification that we get in parsons in relation to influence or culture. It seems like parsons is talking about a pretty diffuse phenomenon, which is great. And i do think it's very much in the spirit of overthink to talk about something like contemporary influence or culture by going back to the 19 sixties american sociology.
