What Are the Elements in a Training Plan for an Ultra Marathon Athlete?

The different blocks have different names, depending on what the focus is. It's not that you're doing only one type of training to the exclusion of all others,. But it's more around what thefocus is. For a long race, like an ultra of 80 or more kilometers, those athletes I always try to plan back to back sessions so that they can simulate the race. Those will be key non-negotiable elements for an ultra marathon athlete.
