Are Amino Acids Building Blocks of Protein?

When you consume protein as food, the body breaks it down into its constituent amino acids. They're rebuilt into new proteins according to the body's requirements. So even though you've got protein in your muscle, but all the time, it's being broken down on a day-to-day basis. The problem would arise if you had a low intake of protein across your breakfast. If you want to optimise your muscle gains and optimise your workout gains, it's better to have your protein equally distributed throughout the day.
