The Argument for Why AI Might Become an Analogue to a Separate Advanced Spell
I can imagine a future in which AI essentially remains a tool. And if that is somehow impossible, I can imagine afuture in which AI becomes autonomous but still co-exists peacefully and productively with us. But you know, any dog or cat has a much better life as a human pet than it could ever have on its own. It's again, we're getting into things where all of our conclusions are based on thought experiments and pretty high level analogies. We have to be extremely wary about drawing too much of a conclusion from that type of reasoning.
