Is Gun Violence a Health Issue?

I definitely think it's a health issue. If we have goals of protecting public health and people are being injured and dying through the use of guns, that's a public health issue. So figuring out what's the impact in a world where we're in the middle of fewer or more guns is very i'm curious as to whether or not you perceive gun violence to be a health issue as well. People will sometimes talk about federal policies that have constrain the amount of funding that can go towards gun relate research. Is the problem with guns an issue of lack of research? What is it that we don't know that we need answers to?
