The Negative Effects of Black and White Interpretations of Chronic Illness
Sally Kohn: Black and white thinking is unproductive. She says chronic illness must be always understood in terms of how the sufferer experiences it. How do we acknowledge suffering experienced by communities due to snap misdiagnoses while also allowing that those snap misdiagnosis aren't in every, in all, in all cases, wrong? Does that make sense? I'm just curious to hear what you think, because it's something I struggle with all the time, and I don't know what to do with it.
