All or nothing thinking is the language of being overwhelmed. It also has a lot of rigidity in it, which is why it's so common in anxiety because anxiety is a very rigid disorder. When you are doing all or nothing thinking, you jump to big, bad conclusions and you say global statements like nothing ever goes my way.
