As companies have gotten bigger, they've tried to squeeze profit out of every corner they can. We get recordings about unusually heavy call volume time we are experiencing heavy clall volume. The data base knows that there's a higher value customer and it recognizes their number, so they get on the phone before you do. And i'm afraid that what we've done is trained generations of people to pect that it's ok when you're talking to a person for that person to not act like a person.
