If you are only doing things for extrinsic motivational purposes, where is the long-term incentive to actually create behavior change? Where is it? Right? There's another piece here that we haven't talked about, and this is something called the arrival fallacy. It's a belief or it's a thought that once we achieve a certain thing, once we have arrived, we will then be happy. At the end of the day, this is all about the process. And the process has to be motivated by your intrinsic desire and enjoyment of the process.
