Running a Half Marathon at a Low VO2 Max?

Easy effort running does with mitochondrial and capillary density, among other things, is that it increases basically how much oxygen you consume. So your VO2 max is the maximum rate of oxygen you can consume at a specific intensity. And easy effort running improves that as well. The caveat to this is if you're training for a 5K, yeah, you can probably raise a 5K training for half marathon. Our tune up race distance is going to be a 10 K.
