How to Give Someone Space to Make a New Decision

Berto: How do you give someone that space to have at least the opportunity to make a new decision, even if they may not be emotionally ready to see themselves differently or make a new choice? Berto: I think we forget just how much of what we do is based on these very early developmental pattern recognition behaviors. We associate two things on a very deep neural circuit level that result in these behaviors. And it feels right, it feels good, but then it causes problems once we're not, you know, six, eight, 12, 13, 16 anymore.
