The Effects of Naps on Cognitive Performance

Cognitive performance, particularly things about your ability to be alert, like your alertness, they do improve after a nap. And these do tend to hold regardless of age or gender. Some pilot studies show that these were helpful when fatigue was a factor. So this is not necessarily the best strategy if you're not fatigued.
