The first stress response we have is what we call a flock response. We flock to another human to be like, am I crazy? Did that just happen? Some kind of physical touch can be really valuable and calming. If you have people with whom you can talk to, that can be really powerful too. And so we talked about first aid or CPR as the deep breathing in the moment.
