How Easy Is It to Develop Nuclear Weapons?
It's the case of luck in choosing the direction, he says. There are all kinds of engineering questions that could make the development of nuclear weapons harder or easier. Most countries have sought to develop nuclear weapons by using commercial technologies like centrifuges and gaseous diffusion plants. If AQCON network had been spreading around those plans instead of a more sophisticated Durango design, it's quite possible that more countries would have had success getting their hands on nuclear weapons.
